Freedom Promise Foundation was established on the belief that every individual and family deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
Our mission centers on family recovery, addressing human trafficking prevention, exploitation, disaster relief, and the challenges families face during periods of crisis and instability. We recognize that displacement and hardship can increase vulnerability to exploitation, making protection and family recovery closely connected.
Through partnerships with local organizations, community leaders, and volunteers, we support initiatives that address immediate needs while helping families regain stability, security, and independence.
From preventing exploitation to helping families and communities recover from natural disasters, our work continues to evolve with a commitment to protecting vulnerable people and supporting lasting family recovery.
OUR STORY
Freedom Promise Foundation began with a commitment to protecting vulnerable individuals from human trafficking and exploitation, particularly those facing circumstances that threatened their safety and independence.
Over time, the Foundation’s vision expanded to recognize the broader challenges families face during periods of crisis, displacement, and instability. This evolution brought family recovery into greater focus, creating opportunities to address vulnerability through humanitarian initiatives and community support.
The Foundation’s disaster recovery efforts in Kaʻū, Hawaiʻi, following Hurricane Lala represent one chapter in that evolving mission. Disasters can leave families displaced, financially vulnerable, and at greater risk of exploitation, including human trafficking. By supporting recovery efforts and helping communities rebuild, the Foundation also works to address the conditions that can make individuals and families vulnerable to exploitation.
As new needs emerge, Freedom Promise Foundation remains committed to adapting its work, building meaningful partnerships, and advancing initiatives that protect vulnerable people and support lasting family recovery.

KIRILL VEKHOV | Co-Founder & President
Kirill Vekhov is an entrepreneur and business transformation specialist who has built, scaled, and successfully exited multiple companies across the United States. His work has been defined by disciplined execution, long-term thinking, and a focus on building systems that create lasting value.
As Co-Founder and Board Director of the Freedom Promise Foundation, Kirill brings that same approach to the organization’s mission to combat human trafficking, protect children, and support humanitarian efforts. He focuses on developing the foundation’s strategic partnerships, operational structure, and long-term initiatives.
As a husband and father, his commitment to this work is deeply personal. He is driven by a belief that protection, opportunity, and freedom should not depend on circumstance, and that meaningful change requires both intention and action.
Cathryn Vekhov | Board Director
Cathryn Vekhov is an entrepreneur, business leader, and organizational strategist whose work has centered on building and scaling businesses, developing high-performing teams, and creating organizations designed for long-term impact. Throughout her career, she has helped lead multiple ventures, cultivate strategic partnerships, and build the operational foundations that support sustainable growth.
Known for her ability to turn vision into action, Cathryn combines strategic leadership with a talent for building strong teams, meaningful relationships, and lasting organizational momentum. Her work is grounded in the belief that enduring success is built through strong leadership, effective systems, and a commitment to serving others.
As Board Director of the Freedom Promise Foundation, Cathryn helps guide the organization’s vision, partnerships, and initiatives to protect vulnerable children, combat human trafficking, and strengthen families and communities. She is passionate about building organizations that create lasting change and generational impact.
As a wife and a mother, her commitment to this work is deeply personal. She believes meaningful change begins with strong families, responsible leadership, and a willingness to invest in future generations.
Colin Breeze | Legal Counsel & Board Director
Colin Breeze’s professional experience derives from representing startups to public companies in capital formation and corporate transactions. Colin specializes in advising founders and C-suite executives on strategy and business execution.
He began his career at Cadwalader in New York City, where he was an early member of the firm’s emerging venture capital practice. He then moved to Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, before leaving to a bi-coastal boutique law firm.
Colin obtained his Juris Doctor degree from The Law School at the University of Chicago and graduated _cum laude_ from Middlebury College. He is admitted to practice in New York and California.
Colin serves on the board of the Holy Virgin Cathedral Endowment Fund in San Francisco, and is a Knight of the Order of Saint James.
